Thank you for this insight. Part of our concern about relocating to Trinidad was how I would care for my aging spouse alone. He is considerably older than me. I assume that Medicaid is not recognized there.

I think Medicaid is different.

But here’s what I’ve found with care…care in the US is incredibly expensive and very, how can I say, clock in clock out. The sad part is that, even with the exorbitant expense, the folks doing the work can’t live on what they’re paid and it’s very taxing work. As a result, the “care” is limited.

The care in Trinidad is proving much better and more thorough.

Indeed! I have been searching for decent Healthcare for myself for a while. The most time a doctor has ever spent in a room with me is 15 minutes... it's sad really. They love to have "Dr." in front of their names, but really have no compassion for the patient at all.

I love how you are showing us another perspective of how to approach life in general but also highlighting the process of assessing our choices.

Aww 🥰 Thanks for reading Karen:-)

I love reading people’s full stories. When someone shares their end, I’m like, but wait, how did you get there?
